Good thing you left some of the laps out. Did you short-tank it? Those big planes are so graceful. Wayne used to sit in the circle with me when I flew the Magnum. He kept telling me, "Big plane, big shapes." And it's true, I had some extra room I was not using on the 64' lines. We started marking off 45 degrees around the circle and it turns out I was not flying nearly big enough. Finding the horizontal 45s helped me locate the vertical 45s and fly longer legs much better. Unfortunately, I never did get to work more on that with the Magnum, but I can see myself using the whole circle better now with the Cardinal.
I know it was your shakedown pattern, and I haven't noticed this with your other ships, but do you realize you center everything to the left? I found myself doing the same thing to the right, as I'm a Northpaw. I started using my face as the center mark, or either a distant landmark, for intersections and loops, and I could see the shape of my maneuvers more accurately. Your OH8s were the most centered stunt with the intersections straight overhead. I also know you aren't posting flights to get evaluated(especially from an Int. flyer), but I hope you at least find my observations interesting.
My mission for the rest of the Summer is to pay attention and fly more precisely rather than goofing around and not trying very hard. So you better practice up for October, I'll be breathing down yer neck! Lol... not too early for smack is it?
