Post by: James Holford on October 10, 2016, 05:14:46 AM
Does Brodak still produce the Super Clown ARF in glow or just electric now?

I got an electric arf and a glo arf. I got them as a hand me down, but they really are neat. I flew the pattern with the electric one during the RC electric fest a couple years ago. Big eye opener to a lot of folks. I don't fly electric CL a lot, but it was a great reason to do it!
I would absolutely buy one. But I love building, so I'd still opt for the kit.

I know this is an old thread, but I had an ARF super clown (electric)  in the box in storage for several years and literally just ordered all the power components from Brodak today .  Just getting back in C/L flying from a 42 year break :-)  I'd be interested in hearing from anyone on how it flies.

Kevin,
I broke into electric with one of the first electric Super Clowns thanks to Frank Carlisle.  It flew amazingly well and seemed to fly best a little on the fast side.  The same could be said of the Fox 35 powered SC that I had as well, just the thin wing thing I guess.  You should be pleased with the model when you get it together and fly it.  As a next model if you are comfortable with airplanes that size would be the eRingmaster.

Best of luck with the model.

Regards,
john
