Something that should be done to any ARF/ARC with adjustable leadouts is to soak the wood with CA to harden/strengthen it....otherwise the bolt and washer will pull through....causing a lot of annoyance.

I suggest using Minwax mineral based satin finish Urethane to seal the film......paint all of the seams...otherwise the covering will come off after a little exposure to rain....or even Windex, if you're so inclined.

Use the poly to seal the engine/tank compartment as well...

I found something that works better than urethane to seal the film seams. Use some FletchTite thinned with Methyl Ethyl Ketone.Thin it to paintbrush consistency.It virtually welds the seams in place.Have you ever tried to pull fletching from an aluminum arrow shaft? Pretty tuff stuff when used right.
Don't forget to clean the area to be sealed with some strong(70%) Rubbing Alcohol. FletchTite can be found at most sporting goods stores by the arrow supply section. It runs about 4 bucks a tube.

It is if you drink it

Used it for 9years in the USAF with no effects ill apparent
