Now that the end of the year is near, has anyone heard any more on the ETA of the SV-11 ARC? Is it on schedule? Sounds like another great ARC from Brodak.  y1

I spoke with John about 2 weeks ago and he told me they would be in at the end of the year, so not much has changed.

They keep puting the SV-11 off so I don't think you will see them for a long time.

I would guess it's economics, John (or anyone) can afford to only have so much capitol tied up in ARF's at any one time. Could very well be he is at his limit with the stuff he does have in stock and has to wait till his inventory has returned enough to pay for the next container.

Or could be he is having delivery issued from China, in either case it's pretty much out of his control.

I would guess it's economics

that is correct.

Besides...  John is pretty much a one man show. He is also the importer for UHP ARFs...

Randy,

Plz correct me if I'm wrong...My understanding the SV-11 Arf will be a larger sized Airplane than the original SV-11. That it has more wing, and moments designed for the larger (piped .75) engines. Personally, I was hoping for the original (small) version I could put my piped OS .46 RE in.  :'(

No it will be  the exact same size wing area, the nose is the same, the tail moment is a little longer and the fuse is a little wider

Tom Dixon (right? blue and white on the table near Tom?) had an SV-11 from the shipment at Huntersville. I saw the plane, but got distracted by something or other, and never followed up. Just checked the Brodak web site, no mention of it there.
Oddly, I don't remember anyone talking about it. Perhaps I misunderstood? Randy should know --

Greetings and welcome! We are all still waiting. Its probably en route. I think everyone is afraid to say anything for fear of either jinxing when it gets here or being quoted as giving a date. You will no doubt hear it first here though.

Two part wing is good news for world wide customers, as it can be mailed out of the country.

What about the covering quality and brand used on the ARF ones?

Hi Martin

I have not seen the production run but I was told the models had the much better covering, and not the old type they used on others

The model can be setup with an RE engine with very little work by adding sealing balsa and fuel proof the inside pipe mount

Hi Randy,

RE: your ARF colors. Can we assume that ALL the planes are mostly white with the different colors in the trim?

ex: The plane shown on your site is mostly white with "blue" on the front/top of the fuse and trim on the wing. Does this mean that the "Red" color ARF will be mostly white with red where the blue is on your photo?

I know, I should just wait for your photos! ;-)

I received my sv-11 arf today. Everything in the box comes out to 34.2 oz. That is the entire airframe with controls and landing gear and tires less power system. Mine will be getting an arrowind 2832 motor and 4S rhino 2700 mah pack. All up weight will be under 60 oz. Oh, cowl is carbon fiber layup.

The hinges are an improvement on what I have seen from Brodak before. No glitching in any that I have found. Very consistent. A little thicker than Durbro which in an arf with precut slots makes a lot of sense as the slot cutters are thicker than dubros.

I apologize. I do feel very badly. But my shop finally got so I could not even walk thru it..... well, for 6 months. After that long I finally decided that I did have to clean it up so it is now as you see very managable. I compliment you on yours. y1 A neat shop is the sign of a sick mind. I have 4 workbenches. When I cannot find the same tool for 2 weeks I will clean up one. Tool always shows up and I'm set for a few months. As I have witnessed above, every 7 years I have to clean the entire thing so I can  move around. I've tried to capture it in pics but they do not do credit. Ask Rick Sawicki or Frank Carlisle. They have witnessed it.
