Just wanted to share a project my son and I completed this weekend. Got tired of planes sitting on every horizontal surface in the garage.......
Bob, your Cardinal will be on the rack very soon, we are just a couple days away from completing it. Thanks again.

We made all the uprights all 10 inches long, so any plane fits in any spot. We decided to keep the largest wingspan models toward the bottom.
The P-40 is a Brodak with a Brodak 40 and Cardinal landing gear that replaced the weak wing mounted set up. We always fly off the grass.....

You do have open end tubes on the bottom of that rig. You could "T" off of them and add a bit of tubing to gain a wider base for better stability.
A thought.
Brodak's P-40's are no longer. I admire yours. H^^

Do you build out of the box or make changes?
You certainly have experience with ARF's.
I did my first ARF with a Brodak Pathfinder. Built it right out of the box.
I never even looked at the bellcrank. n~
Only change was I tossed the tri-gear for two gear bent aluminum. Also from Brodak's.
Stab wobbles a bit because of the fuselage.
I may do the Dennis Toth stiffening thing to it. ;D
So, of all the ARF's you have put together, which one did you like the best?
And why.

About 5 years ago, my son found one of my old 1/2-A airplanes gathering dust. He was enthralled that it really could fly and would not let me rest until I showed him. This ended my 35 year hiatus from control line. I cleaned the old cox 049, got some dacron line, flew the plane once, and then let him try it. (You can guess the outcome) Several smashed PT-19's, Orientals, and P-40's later, we finally stopped crashing planes. I need to thank Bernie Suhamski of the North East Valley RC Club for tech and flying advice while we were learning. The planes shown were all built from ARF box kits with modifications learned from this website to improve handling or durability. (Thanks everyone) I have found each plane has a personality and flys in a unique way. The best stunters seem to be the 36 Evolution powered Nobler and Fox 40 Cardinal. The Easiest to build had to be the Smoothie, and the most fun of course is the Bi-Slob. We had lots of trouble keeping the landing gear in one piece on the P-40 until we modified it to attach to the fuse. It too is a great flier.

1 inch schedule 40 pipe throughout.

I have almost the identical rack, and I hang it from the ceiling of the garage on a couple of big hooks from Home Depot, gets it up and out of the way, but I can still pull it down to put in the truck...

Here is pic, short uprights at top keep it from rotating down on the hooks and having panes slide out - modification devised after 1 st time it happened....
