Tom,
You do have open end tubes on the bottom of that rig. You could "T" off of them and add a bit of tubing to gain a wider base for better stability.
A thought.
Brodak's P-40's are no longer. I admire yours.

Do you build out of the box or make changes?
You certainly have experience with ARF's.
I did my first ARF with a Brodak Pathfinder. Built it right out of the box.
I never even looked at the bellcrank.

Only change was I tossed the tri-gear for two gear bent aluminum. Also from Brodak's.
Stab wobbles a bit because of the fuselage.
I may do the Dennis Toth stiffening thing to it.
