Title: ARF FLIGHT STREAK..one last question
Post by: Bob Disharoon on June 04, 2007, 04:33:00 PM
Is the stock tank large enough for an LA 25 for a 5 min flight?..I promise this will be the last plea for help! y1

It holds 2 .oz and from the handle end seems to run all of five minutes if not more depending on how the needle is set. It seems to lean out and run away for about ten laps at the end on mine so I shimmed the tank out at the aft end to see if it would cure it. Must have worked because it only ran two laps lean then shutoff at top of wingover causing a crash (oops). Nose is back on so I guess I will see how it runs the next time out.

For me the stock tank was not big enough to do the full pattern at the speed I like to fly.  DOC Holliday

I need about just short 3oz to make 5 minutes with the motor set the way I like it to run (a rich 2 stroke).  If I lean it way out, it will run a lot longer.

the 3 or 3.5 oz brodak deep wedge tank will fit.  That is what I have used.
