Title: Arf Cardinal modified
Post by: Norvaldo on September 13, 2010, 11:38:52 AM
Well, as i never tried piped engines before, i bought a PA .40UL with pipe and props and all the rest from Randy.
It was originally destined for a Vector 40 ARF but when i got the plane , the whole engine package seemed a bit of an overkill for the plane.
So a ROJETT 40 with muffler ended up in the Vector.

So now PA 40 UL was homeless. So i created  the  PiCard N.P.
To avoid any lengthy discussions , the name is composite. Pi(ped)Card(inal) No.Profile.
I got an ARF profile Cardinal and built a fuselage around the PA 4oUL

48OZ and 579.3 square inches wing.

Picture is taken in Karlskoga, Sweden.

Thanks for sharing Norvald!
GREAT  looking plane!
How does it fly??

Would it be possible to get a picture of the bottom of the plane showing the motor  and landing gear installation?

Many thanks & "Tight Lines!" H^^

Here it is.
Not a good picture i am afraid.
The landing gear is carbon. Made by a friend of mine. It is actually a 60 size one.
It is bolted on 1 cutoff maple motor mounts on the inside of the fuselage side.

It  flies very well.
You will perhaps note that the engine, wing and stabilizer are all in line.
