Break in fuel
« on: July 24, 2008, 03:00:43 PM »
Seems the most common recommendation is to use the same fuel you plan to run later.  Why is that necessary?  Got a new Saito 62 c/l,  seems they need about 2 gallons to get happy.  I plan to us Powermaster YS 20/20 later.  Why can't I use a cheaper 5% fuel with the same lubrication as the more expensive 20%?
Randy Smith, would appreciate your thoughts on this..

Hi Allan

You can use  the 5% fuel on the 4 stroke, can you get the same fuel as 20 20 in 5%? the lower nitro fuel will get you thru the breakin  and should be no problems for you, make sure you put some time on the engine with the needle set at peak power
