BOLD font. As kids they ran around $3-5, so mow some lawns, rake some leaves, wash a few cars, deliver newspapers, birthday $$. Do whatever it took to scrape 5 bucks together, get the kit, a tube of ambroid and a dottle of AeroGloss dope and build it in a day. Fly it the next day before the dope was even fully dry, leaving fingerprints in the fuel softened finish. What a great time to be a kid.
