Title: What causes the wiggle effect ?

Simply put my electric 1/2a's wiggle or waggle when I start a maneuver. Once I go flat it calms down or if I continue through the maneuvers it calms down some. I will take a shot in the dark and say my lead outs need to come back farther or my rudder is off set to much or finally I need to add weight to the out board wing?  So team what are the words of knowledge you can provide this wayward pilot... Not a farmer! Lol I been plowing way to much lately.

P.S. The new electric Stork is perfect. Nice to know I can still fly and keep one in the air.

I'm going to take a guess that it's prop precession. (gyroscopic forces) acting on a light airframe (1/2A size).

Prop viewed from the front turns clockwise. I do have a reactive rudder. IE I installed two small baby diaper safety pins opened up. I give it a fair bit to the outside. Less than 1 inch. The faster it goes the straighter she gets. The mini magician has a small 27inch wing and weight in like a FAT HOG at just over 570 grams. So it does not glide instead she drops like a rock but not as bad as my Swordmans.

Does that still sound like a rabe rudder candidate????

   If the prop is turning like you describe, dis-able the Rabe rudder and see how it reacts.You may simply be over controlling the model also and if it's a bit heavy this will react this way, or maybe even stiff controls. On smaller model, a narrower line spacing will help with too much leverage at the handle.Larry Renger came up with a handle specifically for 1/2A models and I think RSM Distributing sells it. You might want to check that out.

It sounds like a tip weight problem to me. Do a quick, vertical climb and level out as in the first Old Time maneuver. If the outboard t drops on the turn up and kicks up on the level out, you have too much tip weight.

Which way would weird wiggle wag?  Pitch?  Roll?  Yaw?  Some bizarre combination of all three?  Each has a (more or less) different cause.
