Depends how long the grass is! On my usual patch I always tip over, the planes are really too light to do a real greaser unless it is a well kept lawn. Sorry to sound negative!

Grass landing are difficult with any size plane. My best luck has been with thin wheels bigger in diameter than normal. also use the widest possible separation seems to work best. For small planes servo wheels seem to work pretty good for wheels.

IMHO 1/2A planes just don't land in grass and to make them do so would detract from overall performance.

1/2a? IMHO, impossible! I take the gear off and just skid in. Works for me and have never hurt a plane on grass.

I have only stuck a 1/2A grass landings a couple times. Usually it's a rollout followed by a noseover. I keep my flying site really trimmed down, even then it's still a crap shoot.
