New rules for our annual 1/2 Multi Engine Scale Contest have been written and are posted in the "Events" section of Stunt Hangar and are available on the Cholla Chppers website at:
http://www.ccmaconline.org/halfa-multiengine-profilescale.htm
The date is October 10-11, 2015.
The rules are no longer limited to profile only models. We will still have the "Limited" and "Unlimited" categories. There are more options available. And there will be two perpetual trophies initiated this year, one for "Best of Show" by pilot's choice and a "Slab Award" for the best model with all sheet construction.

I'm pretty happy to see the "slab" category!

Besides AMA membership, does one have to be a member of any of the CL societies to compete?

This will be my first control line contest of any kind so I have some questions on static judging. Will the models be picked up by the judges? If they are not picked up will they be judged on the ground or on tables?

The judges do not touch or hold the models. They will ask the contestant (or proxy) to hold the model in different positions as well as view the model as it sits on the ground. A table is not used. This is not "Sport Scale Judging" where the judges are a specified distance from the models. Typically, however, our judges are sitting 5 to 6 feet away from the model.
Hope this answers your question.

You'll have to forgive me, my phone died and my wife only took a shot of the limited score sheet.
I believe Kieth Trostle won unlimited with the Mistal, Lou Wolgast took second with his DeHaviland DH-88 Comet, Leroy black third with the Hawkeye.
Sorry for any misspelled names.
