I don't build many 1/2A models but I recently came across a really neat 1/2A Spitfire proto speed design. A building buddy and I now have two of them under construction. I just scored a couple of reverse rotation cranks for our Tee Dees. All we need now is some decent pusher props. This model is being built entirely from my scrap box.

Real neat. I love Spitfires. I vaguely remember that plan, where was it published?

May 1970 MAN. It's a really well thought out design. I can email the F.S. plan to anyone interested.

It does look neat. Please let us know how things progress with it.
Looks like span would be just under 15". Is that about right?

Some recent progress ....
Major components have been cut out and the engine mount has been completed and shaped. The mount is solid maple. The stab and fuselage crutch is basswood. Everything else is balsa. Man, that maple mount took a lot of time to hog out. ;D
Thanks to the guys who have helped this project with their special props, cranks etc.
