I'm not sure but I think we had 17 models there. Jim Howell may have taken some photos.
Ty,
Correct on the count, 17 models there, 8 of them had never been flown before. And, we didn't get around to all of the new ones before the wind picked up and most of us called it quits. There were 4 Goldberg Wizards or Wizard clones, 2 or 3 Firebabys, a couple of log models, a couple of biplanes, and autogyro, a Dennybird, a Blackhawk Models Army Scout, and several original designs. There were two "break parts off" crashes. One of these crashes occurred after the tail weight came off and there wasn't enough elevator authority to get it to climb in its nose-heavy condition. The flight consisted of 10 to 15 skipping "touch'n'goes" before the wheels tripped it over on its back and busted the wing/fuse joint.
The kids - 4 grandsons of the club Prez - did most, if not all of the flying that was done. One of them, Matthew, proudly announced to me that he had made his FIRST successful start-to-engine stop solo on a Wizard. He was stoked.
I only have two pictures. I think that the Prez may have taken a couple more.
