Title: Toronto Musciano Event, September 27, 2008.
Post by: Paul Smith on September 29, 2008, 08:17:30 AM
Despite the drizzling rain and cool weather, four "hollow loggers" attended and flew.  Hopefully, with more publicity and maybe better conditions, the 2009 event will be better attended.

Coucours 'd Eligance:

1st - Jack Humphries, EB-66 Destroyer.
2nd - Keith Morgan - Mustang
3rd - Chris Brownhill - Red Devil
4th - Rob Pringle, Golden Hawk.

Stunt:

1st - Keith Morgan
2nd - Chris Brownhill
3rd - Rob Pringle

Conditions just weren't right for speed and racing.

The last pitcher is Keith and Rob negotiating with a reluctant hybrid Cox engine.

This report has been updated to match the official club site.

We will be glad to have you advertise through our web site. Most Musciano chaps come to us if only to brouse. I would be happy to post your pictures and resaults too. By the way did you know that we will donate a prize to your contest?

Hi Larry,
No one has replied to your kind offer yet
so I guess I'll do it. Thank you!
And thanks to the guys who pioneered this event!

This was the first year for the Balsa Beaver's Musciano
but it won't be the last.
It was pouring rain most of the day, but there were
plenty of spectators. When the Muscianos were flying
everyone stopped to watch.
Most of us had a Scientific plane when we were kids
and I think a lot of the fun comes from seeing a plane
that we could hardly keep in the air back when, now fly
very advanced manoeuvres. (With stock OK Cubs!)

The big events of the weekend were F2d combat and
the 1400 lap - 100 mile Sport Race. The Musciano
added lots of laughs and some class.

I can't wait until next year. #^

Cheers!
