Title: thoughts on Cox engines
Post by: Wayne Collier on February 28, 2007, 03:50:49 AM
It seems to me that Cox hit a triple crown victory with the bee series of engines.  Affordable. Available. Dependable. Other things that didn't hurt were durability, and interchangeability.

HI Wayne,

Absolutely true, which is why Cox engine production out numbered all other types made COMBINED!

I had sorta *hoped* that someone wold pick up production of the Cox engines, for all the reasons you mention, Wayne.  The Chinese company that bought the tooling seems in no way inclined to do so. I wonder *why* they bought it!  ???  ???  ???

I understand that they did produce some and sent them to Brodak, they were crap. They must be using the same junk tools that they are flooding our markets with (Harbor fright).
