I built this for my youngest, Michael, about five years ago.
It is all balsa and the AeroGloss just warped the heck out of it, so it sits on a shelf in his room. Larry Renger GAVE him the engine for it, suppose I should whip out another one. Possibly of bass.
If it was to fly it'd need the bellcrank moved up above the bottom wing!
The wings and tail are my typical 1/2 A set, ripped off from Harry Latshaw's famous 1/2 A Hustler Proto Speed (NOT profile) ship.

Very nice! Shame about the warpage.

Two things that will lessen the chances of a warp: 1.Use nitrate or non-tautening butyrate for the first few coats of dope. 2.Make sure the balsa is "C" grain.
I absentmindedly made a sheet wing of "A" or "AB" grain onetime. :'( n1

These days, dope on some 1/2 ounce glass, carbon veil or even silkspan to reduce the warping. It is easier to finish then, too. Epoxy would be better, but dope will do for this.

A Bipe - with elliptical wings, with high aspect ratio, and guided by a V-Tail???
