Another find was this Keil Kraft Joker 1/2A plane.
I know no more than the ad states. Keil Kraft was big in the UK.
The Joker looks really nice. I bet these kits are very rare this side of the pond.
Also did Keil Kraft produce other 1/2A kits?
Found a colour pic of one that sold recently for (gulp) a few cents shy of $110.00 USD! It was in the UK.
The whole thing looks really nice, box art included. Quite colorful and it came with a fuel tank.

Hi Robert,
The KK Joker was the very first control line plane that I had. Must have been all of 12. It was powered by an Allbon Dart 0.55cc diesel. I never did get it to fly, crashed on my first flight, my Dad repaired it and "beefed it up". This was a disaster, as in hindsight it was marginal on power in the first place.
Fast foward 45 years and I managed to buy a pristine kit, at one of the Old Warden meets. Another 5 years on to the present and I have the original Dart and kit in front of me. I intend to copy the kit using contest grade balsa. I think it should fly just fine!
Another 1/2A kit that was very pretty was the Mercury Wasp. I built one, again dart powered, when I was 13, crashed that first time out too! Still have the plans for it, maybe a lightweight version with a PAW 80 would go really well.
Regards,
Andrew.
