Title: Thanks for Half A Flyer.
Post by: Andrew Tinsley on October 14, 2012, 04:57:57 AM
I would like to give a big "THANK YOU" to all who made Half A Flyer such a great magazine. A great pity it has had to cease publication. I appreciate all the effort that went into its production. What is more it was a most enjoyable read!

Thanks Guys,

Andrew.

I thoroughly enjoyed 1/2A Magazine.  I am saddened that it is no longer going to be published.  What happened??

Bummer!

Guess I wasn't watching, because I never saw any cancellation notice? Where and when was it announced?

Half-A Flyer was one of my favorite publications, so thanks Larry, and everyone else who produced that fine magazine.

Blackhawk Models is one of my favorite kit manufacturers, so I really hope they will not be effected.

I regret not finishing the Zippie build in the magazine but will keep a build log going here to give all the final details.  I ran into hideous problems learning how to mold the cowl (it is in the finishing stage now), so could not meet the deadline.   :-[

I've flown & competed with 1/2A's my entire modelling career (30 yrs. or so) but never heard of, (much less saw) that magazine,  have been subscribed to FM and MA as well as PAMPA Stunt News occasionally for years and only became aware of 1/2A flyer a couple months ago when I was directed to Stunt Hangar. Sure wish I could have seen a few of them.

Hi Doc,

I get the hard copy of the mag, and it often arrives a little late. If it doesn't show up this week, I'll contact the Red Baron himself, and let him know.

What a shame the magazine was not successful. I'd have gladly paid more to keep it alive.
