Jim, I have a couple of left handed cranks that I'm waiting to install in engines. What is your opinion of them?

That they're magical for 1/2A proto speed events, especially for beginners!

What Dane said! I've actually never flown with one. My hobby interest are shifting and I thought I would sell this to someone who will use it and raise funds for a new project I have going.

Haha. So if you fly CCW, which is most people, with a TD being pretty powerful on a super light plane.... the plane will always want to roll in. In a proto speed event where the take off and acceleration are critical, a left handed run just keeps it out on the lines. Huge advantage in that respect. Now for sport flying and a hand launch, it don't matter. Once it's in the air, and the plane is trimmed there really is not a difference.

That could be argued, but for sport flying or speed, there's no difference once it's airborne
