Still on Medallion engines
« on: September 02, 2021, 03:23:07 PM »

Guy's I have two medallion 09 engines that I can not get apart using the proper wrench, I can't get the front end to come lose to remove the shaft and other front end parts, it seems that both
of them are bound and will not unscrew I sure don't want to "bugger up" the case or shaft to open them up.  I have done several medallion and T  D engines the same way with no problem.  I have mounted the block in a small vice but still can't front end to unscrew..   Any help/suggestions sure will be appreciated..   Much obliged... H^^   D>K   Hope that I made myself clear... HB~> HB~> HB~>

Pour some lightweight oil around the lock collet and heat, heat , heat. Don't use a torch, use a heat gun. Use the smoking oil as a gauge as too how hot your getting it otherwise you will melt the carb body.
