Information about the magazine
« on: December 14, 2010, 08:49:08 AM »
The "1/2A FLYER" Magazine is a nonprofit magazine, this means that no one involved will receive any compension for their efforts.  The reason for the magazine is to promote 1/2A flying.  Currently there is no other magazine that mentions 1/2A modeling in any meaningful way.  Flying Models offers two pages to all small models, I do not read R/C mags but I guess that there is some coverage there.
We are babes in the woods to this magazine thing and what we will put out will not be as professional as Flying Models or Control Line World magazines are but it will be interresting.  At this low price do not expect the glossy pages and special bindings currently in use on more expensive mags.  We are currently looking at 4 to 5 articles and a set of plans with a construction article.  If we get more contributors to the magazine then it will grow as needed.

CONTRIBUTIONS:
Tell us how you got started in the hobby, what you are flying, what your club is doing or what you want to see happen in 1/2A flying. Ask us Questions and we will try to answer them for you and our other readers.  We need your input.

Larry

You contact Larry:

Larrytheredbaron@aol.com

I did not find the pricing immediately, but believe he takes paypal. You can subscribe to paper copies or emailed PDF (cheaper and faster).
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Information is what's important here Larry not cosmetics, at least from my perspective.
Great job so far, better than expected!

Just printed off my copy of the 1/2A Magazine.   Great article about Oba StClair and the third installment of mouse racing by Paul G.  His e-mail is in an earlier post.   H^^
