Anyone build one from kit or have plans?
-
I built one in the 1969 NATS hangar at Willow Grove, between the days I flew.
In fact, I bought it at the NATS NAVY Hobby Shop there in the hangar.
Mine was powered by a Cox Golden Bee.
A Black Widow would yield a more appealing performance.
The foam wing was a bit heavy and later....Brittle.
The wing tips were heavy plastic.
Plans were assembly type like the Sterling Ringmaster.
Much later, a neighbor was very interested in the little plane.
So we drew up ribs that matched the airfoil of the foam wing.
Flew GREAT!
If I find any remains or assembly plans, I'll post them here.
Good luck & "Tight Lines!" H^^

I built one a few years ago. I thought it flew terrible. The wing is not symmetrical which I feel was the most of the problem. The solid foam wing is quite heavy . In addition, the wingspan in my opinion wasn't quite enough for the plane. Mine was powered with a Black Widow and while it would go fairly fast in level flight, it floundered about when you maneuvered.
