I believe I got my plans from Currell also. He has been great at promoting "Hollow Logs" since the event appeared.
Scientific kits went through various changes through the years. I believe it was late sixties when they abandoned the airfoiled wing in favor of the sheet wings. Also, for example, my original Little Bipe had the airfoiled wing (with checkerboard decal on top wing) and was powered by an OK Cub (.049, circa 1952) with the fuel tank in the fuselage. The later version had a shorter fuselage to accomodate a tanked engine and, if I remember correctly shows a Babe Bee on front which was not available intil ~1956.
I believe several kits were redesigned with the sheet wing and shortened fuselages for tanked engines like the Babe Bee and the OK Cub .049A.
