Title: prep.
Post by: Bill Smith on September 26, 2007, 07:03:25 PM
Here is how to really embarrass your self.
1. Take a lot of time to build a really nice 1/2A plane.
2. then don't practice and bring the wrong fuel. So that the guy with the Deweybird on my left, beats me.
we also raced. This really was a great day.
PS. Larry really flew the Deweybird well.

Well I beat you that day Bill. Of all the contestants, I was the ONLY one who won absolutely nothing! Everyone else either won, placed or showed---except me  :'(

thats true, but I don't think you put in quit the time I have in that Arrow and that is the second time I have screwed up with it.
It was a lot fun though wasn't it.

I had a great time at the contest.  Any decent engine run or completed flight with a half-A gives one a real sense of accomplishment.  I hope to return next year.  Larry Lindburg
