Pat King's WW-I 1/2A profile kits
« on: February 26, 2011, 11:44:22 PM »
I have finally been able to start on the two prototypes for Pat King's WW-I profile kits.  They are the Camel and DR-1.  I have the Camel going first.  These are laser cut, full size plans, all sheet and the "fits" are excellent!

The fuselage is all glued up right now, and I taped the top wing on to get an overall look.

I have sanded the dihedral into the lower wing joint and joined the halves.

Engine will be an "assembled from parts" Cox .049 with separate tank, but a Cox Babe Bee will also mount and is shown on Pat's plans.

I will start applying the "finish" tomorrow. ;D (working on the dining room table for now, not too far away from the Missus! LOL!! )
