Title: Orphans and engines
Post by: LARRY RICE on October 27, 2007, 09:43:49 PM
David,
I am sorry, it appears that I was wrong. I believed that Control Liners would do all that they could to see to it that kids would have a chance to fly control line models. It seems that I was wrong......your kids need engines........I will send you at least 4 new engines. It pains me to see the poor responce from guys that I thought better of. How can you guys turn your backs on a hand full of orphan kids when all they ask for is some old useable .049 engines?  b1  I do not know what to say. I will get those off to you next week.
Larry

If you do not know what this is about read "Orphans and Models".

I just wanted to say thanks.  I received four OK Cub engines from Larry Rice and a Cox sure start motor, fuel tank, and donation from Bill Smith.  That will help a lot when the kids start building their Stuntmaster kits (as soon as I can get the visits scheduled with the orphanage).

Larry is also donating a subscription to Control Line World.  Thanks again!!!

I just received a package from Fred Krueger, containing six Babe Bee engines, two glow heads, and a glow plug adapter.  THANKS !  The engines are all cleaned up and look like new.  I'll take them to the kids when we build the Stuntmasters.

Thanks again Fred.

David,

You're welcome and good luck with this endeavor.  You are doing a wonderful thing for the kids and also for our hobby.

Fred

About a year or so ago I sent some Cox engines to someone that were supposed to be used for some inner city youngsters.  I have not heard the out come.  I had them back you would be welcome to them.  Have fun, DOC Holliday

I'm trying to get some dates approved for me to visit the orphanage again before Thanksgiving, but they are so busy this time of year. The administrator said they probably can not find time before Thanksgiving, and if not before Thanksgiving, then we'd have to wait until January.  Our next project is to build the Stuntmasters donated by Black Hawk Models.
