Title: Norvel
Post by: john e. holliday on February 02, 2019, 01:53:32 PM
Picked up a spinner for the TeeDee/Medallions today at the swap meet.   The gentleman throwed in the matching spinner for the Norvel.   Does it have the same threads as the Cox engines?    Guess I could go to the shop and try them,  but I'm lazy today as I got up too early. D>K

              No,  the Norvel is metric.

The Norvel .049/.061 engines use a 3 mm bolt to hold the propeller.

Slightly off topic, just in case you run out of Norvels...the AP uses a 4mm stud, just like the Norvel .074.
I installed a Cox 3-blade prop AND spinner by drilling out the Cox spinner nut and tapping it for the slightly larger 4mm shaft. So far, so good!
