Title: Norvel installation question
Post by: Roger Vizioli on January 04, 2015, 02:11:03 PM
All my Norvel .049 and .061 planes have been profiles with side mounted engines. never an engine run problem.

Want to build a 1/2 A full bodied stunter, ie Pathfinder, Stiletto type or ?? , w/ upright or inverted Norvel engine.

Question: Looking for comments re. good or bad experience with upright or inverted Norvel engine in a stunt plane.

Thanks,
Roger Vizioli

I've run them upright in my fierce arrows and inverted in my pinto and 1/2a nobler no problems.
I do like to leave a little room in the cowl so that i can get a finger in to cover the intake for priming

Hi Roger,

IIRC< the guys used Norvels in their 1/2A Fierce Arrow builds.  They were mounted upright and they did not report any problems as to engine runs.

I hope all is well with you and that 2015 is a great year for you!

Bill

Bill and Bill,  :-)

Thanks! I never finished my 1/2 A Fierce Arrow, so no info .

All is well down here Bill L., one day at a time.

Take care,  Roger V.
