Musciano 1/2a event
   with Black Hawk Models and Scientific Models
unlimited Musciano event
   for larger Musciano designed planes
Twin engine event
  and much much more

The NVCL holds a Musciano Event.  They are near DC, but I do not recall the dates.

Unfortunately, our PAMPA District is not very active it seems, outside of the MCLS, The Norfolk area club, and the NVCL.  At least I do not hear any news from anyone outside of the MCLS..   There is a stunt contest in Memphis and one in Marietta, but both are in District 5. 

The MCLS holds two large C/L contests per year, in Huntersville, near Charlotte, and could possibly hold a Musicano Contest.  They are very diverse. We are in Dist.4 which extends down the coastline from Delaware to North Carolina.  South Carolina begins District 5 and Tenn, is also in 5.  Kinda strange about Tenn. since it borders us, and is Northwest of District 5.   But I didn't make up the Districts! LOL!!!!

There are already three venues to chose from, Virgina, Michigan, and California. 

Considering the effort needed to set one up, it's a lot easier to make a road trip than create a new one.

ps: They pack small and the host provides the fuel.

Bill, I can not begin to tell you how much fun we all had this weekend, at the So. Cal. Musciano Contest. There was no real pressure on anyone ..... it was like the old days when we were all kids. We flew when we wanted, the way we wanted and spent as much time swapping stories and laughing as we did flying. Larry flew his "American Boy" at 54 mph with a Space Bug engine, and he did loops, 8's, and inverted. A tri-plane lost a battle with the wind and there were a coulpe of electrics that worked very well.

There was a person who appeared to be a professonal photographer taking all kinds of pictures.  I would be great if we could get some to post.  I will second what Larry Rice and Larry Renger said it was really fun.  It really did bring back memories of when we were kids.  I have not laughed that hard in years.

Sorry Larry, but Tony Naccarato's plane was a Walt Musciano designed "Stunt Trainer" that is kitted by Black Hawk Models. You are right that it was not a log type model but Walt designed many models that were not log types. This one was kittted by Scientific too.
