Title: NEW KIT DUE OUT LATE THIS MONTH
Post by: LARRY RICE on June 04, 2008, 06:49:17 PM
Well the Name the Plane Contest is over and the plane is ready for It's first test flight. The Sting Ray will taxi out this week end, weather permitting, and make it's maiden flight in the capable hands of it's designer, Frank Scott. Here are some pictures. I hope to be kiting the Sting Ray by the end of the month.

Neat looking airplane Larry.  I think the name fits it.

That is a neat kit---makes me wish I was 11 or 12 again. I recall building a free flite DynaSoar [NASA or USAF space vehicle which was suppose to glide back to earth after launch] powered by a Jetex motor. I think it was 7th grade. It was from plans made out of balsa planks. Come to think about it, that was my only plans built plane I ever made (as opposed to a kit). This plane reminds me of that.

#^ THE TEST FLIGHTS ARE FINISHED AND the "STING RAY" passed with flying colors!!!! The plans are being drawn now and the kit will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks! AT LAST! Look out this is a real go getter!
