Title: Long Live 1/2A!!!!!
Post by: Mark Mc on December 14, 2015, 07:12:28 PM
Well, as this registration garbage is going through, I must glory in the fact that I love my 1/2A planes.  Per the FAA press release, any model over 0.55 pounds requires registration.  Most of my 1/2A planes are well below the 8.8 ounce limit.  Maybe there will be a resurgence in 1/2A planes???

Sounds good to me. They're fun to fly and that's my favorite speed event to compete in. I'm with you on this movement!

Although I am not American, I had actually thought the same thing myself. I ran to the model room and weighed my 1/2a planes and found the same as you. I think however though this will not deter the people that fly bigger planes. I am now waiting to see what comes to Canada now. Now get those little guys up in the air in mass quantities and take a picture and send it to the FAA. Heck I might name my next plane the following just because:
