Remember the old Goldberg kit called the Wizard? This is what I learned to fly on. Building one now for my daughter to learn on. Got a old broken one given to me, used it as a pattern and here she is, almost done. Just need to attach the elevator, paint and attach control hardware and engine.

Nicely done Gary, she's going to love it. I still have mine from 30+ years ago and while it shows signs of age, it still flies well. Ken

Looks great. I think you should have asked your daughter to help with it. Maybe the paint scheme.

She is completely involved in the painting. I'd have her help with building but on my present night shift my hours and hers are difficult to jive together, and need to get it done.

You must be on the evening shift. One of the worst shifts I ever worked. On the Midnight shift I got to see the family once in a while and if there was some needing done during the day I would post pone sleep until done. Hope she picks out a good color.

Hey, I've worked those 12 hour shifts back when I was on the road doing growth jobs for the phone company. One job was 41 days straight without a day off. Money was great but it does take its toll. Can you believe I retired in 2003 with a bonus. Then every one started raising prices.

401Kis doing well, but I'm afraid that barring the purchase of the right lottery ticket retirement is 13 years away yet......

The Wizard is done and ready to fly! This simple project really took me back to the first one of these I built in 1976!

Nice work! That's a tough looking motor mount you've got on there. And the doubler extending back aft of the wing it a good idea. It'll be tough as nails. Got a video camera?
Good luck,
Rusty
