My first kit was a Stunt Runt. Time to revisit my youth. The parts are cut, time to sand and glue. I’ll try to keep this up to date.
-
Cool! Subscribed.
-
Any chance of getting a copy of the parts? Looks simple enough that no plans needed. H^^
-
Watch your mail, Doc. I sent copies of templates. I got full size plans on eBay from airclassix. I think he’s on here.
-
Dan Banjock has the Stunt Runt with a Mccoy .098. For one, I extremely impressed how that engine works in this plane. Of the .098 examples I've seen they have very little compression to even start. Dan's engine runs quite well. This is a neat plane to see stunting and Dan doesn't hold back.

Thanks Bruce, the templates are here. Now to get cutting. D>K
-
Glad you got them, Doc. Enjoy. We’ll race to see who gets done first H^^

Speaking of bi planes check this card out. Even Santa needs some time out.

Thanks to Bruce I have gotten in the mood to go to the shop. The heater is still working even though air flow is hampered with stuff piled up. But I got the drawings from him and made copies to cut up. In two days I have most of the parts cut. Pictures will be coming. Almost for got how to make a kit using just drawings and no instructions. D>K
-
Now if this key board will cooperate I will post pics of progress. I think I have all the wood parts ready for some sanding before I start gluing. This was harder than I remember of working off drawings and no instructions. It will be powered with one of my Babe Bees. Stay tuned. D>K
The last pic is supposed to be the bell crank mount. Took a minor change in the engine mount. Now I'm posting this I see I haven't cut the lead out guide. Need to also round up all the hard ware. H^^
-
A good day today. Got most of the sanding done, wings glued together and elevato/stab hinged. Glue the wings to the fuselage as well as the stab/elevator. This has been kind of fun. D>K
I know, not a good shot of the pilots view. H^^

Nice work, Doc.
Mine is ready to start assembly. I need to find more time at home when I’m not covered up in Christmas prep. This week hopefully.
-
Don't feel lone some. We have been hit with sub zero temps and with the little heater working the floor temps were too cold according to Prissy my Chiwawa. My feet were cold also. Got some work don on bell crank mount and engine mount also and called it quits. 2 degrees F outside. D>K

Merry Christmas everyone.
Looking Good Doc.
I'm feeling a little bad that I'm posting
about the Stinker right next to the
Stunt Runt build since they're similar
planes.
It isn't intentional. I promise !
Cheers! - K.

Don't feel bad. They may be similer in appearance but there is difference in construction. D>K

You are an inspiration John...!
Prissy the Chiwawa sounds like quite the spoiled Drama Queen though.
I know how these dogs think.
Tell her to either "suck it up" or you'll get her a night job working as a "security patrol agent" at the local wrecking yard... n1
I'm waiting for a PAW .030 diesel to show up...then get it fired up and then try to get some sort of an idea about how much plane it can haul around the circle.
-
Depending on the plane and prop it should get off the ground and around the circle. D>K
-
Pinned together. Needs controls mounted and then finish
-
A few more pics.

Looking solid Bruce. y1
Thanks for the pictures.
Actually, I'm equally impressed by
how tidy your shop is. Mine looks
like it belongs in Fallout 4.
Whatever works I guess.
Cheers - K.

Ha! I deliberately took those pics only showin one corner of the bench. It’s all a lie :)
Thanks.

That is about where the old DOC is with his version. D>K
