Title: Interesting new possible flying line
Post by: Larry Renger on May 04, 2012, 08:54:01 PM
This is some new stuff I am trying out.  It is not monofiliment, it is supposed to be made up of multiple (hundred+) strands fused together.  It is very thin, very slick, and has minimal stretch.  I have flown on it a couple of times, and will keep everyone posted on how it works out.  It is available in 1,2,3,4,8,10 and 12 lb test.  I am flying on the 8 lb, and its diameter is .006"!

Pull test on the knot?

I have "knot" pull tested the stuff.  I guess I should.  I did pull test the set of lines on the plane.  All went fine.

As I recall that 300 yard spool was $20.
