Does anyone have any spare Houluzko venturies to fit the AP .061 Wasp, or know where I could get my mitts on a few?
Thanks in advance.

Spare Houluzko venturii are rarer than hen's teeth.

Oh I figured, but it never hurts to try.
I was hoping someone had a worn out AP wasp collecting dust worth one on it that was no longer running.
Thanks.

More likely than not, an AP Wasp owner has several nib stock Wasps waiting to be used. Initially the Wasps were very modestly priced.

That's just it; I have no idea what they look like!!

Hope these pictures come thru.

Jim Aron has some for his B-36, and it ran great with that venturi. But I don't think there is anything terribly special about it, aside from the fact that it's small enough to draw fuel adequately for stunt, instead of large to Get More Power. The engine ran about like a really strong Medallion 049, certainly not up to Tee Dee standards, but it kept running.

Thanks for the pics Larry!

I have to say that I have never heard of these before. I have several of the Wasp engines and would like to know more about them. I'll try the old google routine but if someone can direct me to a specific place to read up on it I would appreciate it.
Thanks a lot,
Dan McEntee
Edit to add: heck, this thread is the only thing I can find on it, on the internet or this web site!

Dan, Try page 21 of this half-a section. Look for the thread "Wasp with RSM carb performance".

I refined my search a bit to just venturi for wasp engine and found quite a bit. I don't think I followed the 1/2A section very close back then. I got an idea of what I need if I ever get that far and will try my hand at making the necessary adapters for Cox TD ventuis.
Thanks a lot!

Jan's venturi still used the stock needle setup. Making a Cox adapter and using the TD venturi , you have the option of the stock needle or the finer thread KK style needle. Also easier to locate if something gets damaged.
