Hello Pilots

I have a Question.  Herr Engineering sell's these really cool little RC 1/2A scale plane kits.
I really like the P-51 Mustang because the engine set's upright and there is no cowl -
(easy access) .

P-51 Mustang
Wingspan -36"
Engine- .049 to .061
Weight -12.3 oz
Price- $53.99

Great kit for CL Conversion if you ask me.  But i want to ask for some real knowledge
from you guy's first.   Thank You - Bryan

I cant say that I have ever built the Herr Mustang but I can vouch for the quality of their kits.  I have built the cloud ranger and I am working on building a Cub.  They go together like a jigsaw puzzle.  Light and strong.  If you had a choice between Herr or some other company... Pick Herr
my $0.02  ;D

I think you could easily convert the mustang to CL.  I would think that all you would need to do is remove most if not all of the dihedral from the wing.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

With the wing that low compared to a fairly deep fuselage, I would keep the dihedral!
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

I have built their Pitts but not as a control line airplane and will vouch for the quality of the kit and wood. The plans were very good also. If you build for control line you might want to look at the angle of attack of the horizontal stabillizer and adjust it accordingly.
blue skys and tail winds to all.
