Beginners Ringmaster Bipe
« on: November 24, 2010, 01:04:34 PM »
I am surveying to see if there is enough interest for me to make some laser cut kits of the Beginners Ringmaster Bipe.

Pat,
Any price point yet?

It should be in the $31.00 to $35.00 plus shipping range.

If you set the nose length to use the Black Widow instead of the Babe Bee, it would be a nifty plane for the Kwikee Stunt event!  It is a shame to limit such a nice design to inside maneuvers only.
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Not that it would be difficult to cut 1/4" or so off the nose...

If the SureStart engine is used the external tank gives full inverted capability.  y1

Black Hawk Models Navy Fighter flys better and is cheaper. Designed after Joy Products Stunt Runt.

Larry,
I don't dispute your claim, but that one isn't a Ringmaster. This one is more for a nostalga thing. If everyone would be satisfied with a single airplane design of each size and type, there wouldn't be many airplane designs available.
Thanks, Pat

Pat,

I am sorry, Pat, I just do not think much of the ringmaster bipe, I would rather have any of their monoplanes like the Baby Ringmaster; but that is just me.  Another good one to kit would be a FireBaby.

Thats probably one of the rudest things I have seen someone do here in a long time.  I think I'll waite till you try to sell something, Larry....then tell everyone how I think its crap (just my opinion mind you). H^^

Well since Pat has not invested gobs of money producing a kit yet I felt that it would be kinder to give him my honest advice but if I was rude I do heartily apologise to Pat and wish him all of the luck in the world with his project.  H^^

I am working on making the Ringmaster varients, those that are not presently being kitted by someone, available. The laser cuts arrived today for the prototype Ringmaster Jr. Flash. That will be the next of the Ringmaster types that I will be offering. A nostalga thing for us to re-live our youth. There are a lot of airplanes that were not very good that some of us remember fondly because they were our first, or our first to loop, etc. . The Ringmaster Sportster is one of the least favorite Ringmasters, but I have sold several of the kits. Different strokes for different folks.  y1

Here's one I built.  This is before Pat did the plans darn it! LOL  Would have been a much easier build with Pat's plan, but oh well.  This little bipe is an absolute gas to fly, it would be the best 30-some-odd-bucks you spend!

Did my first loops with a ringmaster bipe... and after breaking off the top wing in a crash trying to learn to fly inverted used it with just the bottom wing to fly mouse race back in the very early 70's.... I used to do so many inside loops that the controls would lock up from drag on the dacron lines....

Personally I think you need to resolve this Navy Fighter vs Beginner's Ringmaster Bipe with a fly-off at a neutral site, say Brodak's. VD~

Biggest problem with that, this old fool gets so dizzy after 10 laps I am falling down.   y1 I believe it is one or more of my meds. I am going to practice turning around to see if I can improve the situation. Larry's airplane probably has more wing area, therefore it should have an edge. If I kit the Beginners Ringmaster Bipe it will be as much a nostalga thing as anything else.

The Ringmaster Beginners Bipe is a little older design and I am sure that it is able to perform quite well.  I will not get into a discusion about the merits of one plane over the other as it seem to agitate some folks.  I will say that if Pat does produce the Ringmaster Bipe I am sure that it will be a fine kit and that everyone who buys it will enjoy it.  All the best of luck to you, Pat.

Hi Pat,

I like the look of it. I would get one if you do the kits.
