Title: Fuel for cox .049 engines
Post by: DanielGelinas on February 02, 2012, 07:31:50 AM
Hi Guys,

Here is what I found at tower hobbies for fuel:
Hobbico Super 1/2A Nitro Airplane Fuel

This fuel has a total oil content of 18% and nitro in 25%. Would it be better to add castor? What percentage?
Would this be good for my cox engines or is there something better? Sig champion 25?

Thanks,

-Daniel

I will let the 1/2A experts tell it right.    I use the same fuel I use in my stunters and sport planes.  Oh it's 10% nitro and 22% oil.

I am certainly no expert like Doc, but I have excellent results with Sig Champion fuel (15% to 25% nitro) in my Coxes.
