Title: Early News NEW KIT from BHM
Post by: LARRY RICE on October 13, 2011, 09:26:08 AM
A few years ago, while Black Hawk Models was planing the release of the "Stunt Rocket" (a large size Stunt model), Walt sent me a set of plans for a 1/2A version. The proto type of this "Mini Stunt Rocket" is due in next week. We will send it to a master builder then to a top stunt flier for testing. After corrections are made it will be set into production and we are hoping for a late November release. This will be a NEW design by Walt Musciano.

What engine are you using to design the prototype?  What sort of span and area are you planning.  Us designfreaks want to know!  S?P

sapan 29"
area 170 see original post.

we will be testing performance with two engines - Norvel /Brodak (not sure) then a Cox Widow.  The test will show how the performance is and which engines we can reccomend.  Walt us to thicken the leading edge so the test will tell that too.  Walt thinks that a .049 should do the job.

WOW! After all these years, Walt is back at it. How is Walt doing? Last time I asked, he was ill and living with his son. Is he back in Lodi?

What are you going to call the plane? ...Little Stunt Rocket, perhaps?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm guessing that ALL of us are interested in how our hero is doing.

These plans, for the "Mini Stunt Rocket", Walt sent to me about 4 or 5 years ago.  We wanted to get the big one out first, so now is the time for the "Mini Stunt Rocket".  Walt has moved in with his wife into an assisted care facility.  Lat last year he told me that he was working on a new model, a Ford Tri-motor. Walt had sent me a few plans that he would like us to produce and when we are able we will.
