I believe I watched Larry Scarinzi's 3 yr old daughter fly a Firebaby at Rich's Hobbytowne...(a couple of yrs ago!)

My first flight was a P-51 1/2a, went around 5-6 laps, got dizzy, let go, and it went into a fence. Oh well at least I started young. I would just advise he/she alot. Nothing wrong with the Delta Dart II, with a duck bill nose to learn on with 15' lines. You can't kill it, and after they get used to it it comes with a mount for a motor and landing gear. People on Ebay sell them. There prices are kinda high, but I only paid $4 for mine. You can also teach building to a youngster, mine went together in less than an hour.
