DICK SARPOLUS 1/2A AKRO PLANS
« on: April 12, 2020, 12:57:32 PM »
Hi everyone. I am wondering if anyone has the plan for Dick Sarpolus's 1/2a Akro. I had one years ago with a TD 049 and that thing flew like it was on rails!

Kevin,

If no one comes up with a set they are willing to send you, you can still purchase the plans from Flying Models plans service.  The link below is the page where the Sarpolus Akro plans are listed.  It's a dual set of plans, the Akro and the Zlin.   Cost is $15.00 plus shipping.

I've been tempted to order those plans myself for my Medallion .049.

I appreciate you Joe. Hopefully someone on here will have them. If not you saved me the time trying to find it. 👍

I have a crappy .jpg copy of it that I can send you.  Should be okay to build from.  PM me your email address and I'll send you the .jpg file.

Mark

edit: I have the Zlin Akrobat plans.  If there's a separate Akro plan I'd love to have it to go with this one.

There's a ruler on the plan so you can figure out the full size dimensions.

If you would like a full size .pdf of the original plan send me an email to: patdk@aol.com . The file is 1.8 meg. it is too big to post here.

I wonder if Dick Sarpolus is still active. He was prolific with designs in Flying Models and I built a few.
Shame that there are no more monthly periodicals. Gave you something to look forward to

Dick has a design for a Zero RC foamy in the latest Model Airplane News.  It is a nice model.
