                         I found the White Lightning to be problematic. In fact it builds so incredibly tail heavy I don't know how you would balance it using a TD .049. I rubber banded a TD .09 to it and it balances perfectly. The TD .09 is 2x the weight of the TD .049. I sent e-mails to the designer who claims that by no means should I change moments and that I should just add the required nose weight. A sheet wing when designed like the plan shows flexes far too much which totally kills performance. You would find a built up wing to not only be stronger, but it would fly far superior to a sheet wing. I feel that Pat's recent plane that was on paper the Pegasus would give extreme performance. There just isn't many options as many are for reedies. Ken

My two favorite flyers are a pair of Baby Flite Streaks, one with a Tee Dee .051 and the other with a Big Big .061. I fly them both on 45' lines, the Tee Dee with a 5.25x3 prop and the Big Mig with a 5.5" or 5.75x3 prop. I've been building kits since I was a kid, but with no experts to help me. And when I flew my first Baby Streak, I felt like I was flying my first plane that wasn't a toy.
