Cox Internation Vs Ex Models?
« on: December 01, 2017, 03:31:53 PM »
Is there a difference between the parts or service at Cox Int'l or Ex Models?

I need to order some TD venturies.

Thanks.

I've bought from both and had good and defective engines and parts show up. Of the two EX is easier to work with, the owner at Cox Int. is a crybaby and can't "meet expectations forget about ever exceeding them".

Good luck I don't buy from either anymore.

After reading about the Cox venturi modification for the Wasp .061 I ordered two complete venturis from EX for $12.95 each. They came quickly and look really nice. These are the units that use what looks like old style brass needle valves from Cox RTF models. His web site says they are a current production item. It's at least a starting place for the several Wasp engines I have and the stack of 1/2A stunt projects awaiting for me!  I have ordered from Cox International also with no problems.

I have used both. I've never had a problem with either of them getting my order correct and on time.  Both send a notification the next day that my parts have been shipped.  I tend to use Cox International more, as Bernie seems to have a larger inventory of the things I need.  You don't have to worry ordering from either of them.

I am a customer of both

For parts normally stocked, I rarely see a difference in price between the 2

Both do a great job of taking a request and keeping you on a mailing list if they get a particular item they don't normally have

I check both sites regularly for NEW items as they are usually low volume and go quickly

Both support various contest on CEF (Cox Engines Forum) with prizes for the winner
