Cox Engine forum

Anyone know what is going on with the Cox Engine forum? It has been off line for several days now.

Also Jacob Hammond's Cox engine collection site is off line.

Sir,

I'm over there often. I haven't had any trouble with it...in fact, just posted a question there.

Have you tried it from devices on different networks (say, from a PC or tablet in your WiFi, and your Cell in data)?

Thanks guys,

Still can't access the Cox Engine forum, and only have limited access to Jacob's site (no posting). Think I'll delete both links, and try again.

Well, that didn't work either, but I'll try again tomorrow.

For Mr. Adair,

Are you trying from only ONE device from ONE network?

I ask because it may be as simple as restarting your Home Router.

Try accessing it from another network. If Home doesn't work, try your data connection on your phone (not WiFi from the same home router).

I find if my phone hits a given site via cell phone data, but home doesn't, then restarting the home router usually fixes the connection issue.

And if the phone can't hit, but the home does, then restarting the phone usually fixes the connector issue.

YMMV

Thanks Jim, and others who offered advice.

Problem was solved by going into Google Chrome, and deleting all browsing history. Both forums are now loading properly.

Don't have a smart phone, and my Android tablet is almost as slow browsing as the old phone modems!  Z@@ZZZ

This is one of the hazards of not buying new computers and operating systems every few years, as the money mongers want us to do.

My computer is a Dell top of the line PC hand-me-down, but was bought well over ten years ago. It's just fine for what I do, so as long as it works I'll stick with the thing.

My wonderful son-in-law has since switched to Apple computers, so the next hand-me-down won't be so easy to learn.

Thanks again guys.

I have had to do a clear history on this electronic marvel.   Learned a while ago when the computer started acting up on sites that I frequented often.   Now it is almost a weekly routine to o a clear history. D>K

Hi Doc,

Good idea, as it's faster than looking for other fixes.

Now if I could just figure out how to eliminate the incessant warning banner that my "Google browser is no longer supported by Google updates" that displays every time I boot or restart - I'd be happy!

I know it's not the latest version of Chrome, but the newer versions will not install on my PC. What's even more aggravating is that it goes through the download and install routines, before deciding that my browser is no longer supported!!! Why the hell don't they do the check before downloading like Microsoft and most others?   mw~
