Covering for a 1/2A Pathfinder
« on: December 15, 2020, 09:48:25 PM »
My Pathfinder has been sitting in my basement for years. It's in bare bones now and trying to come up with the best covering for it.
I have a ton of silkspan polyspan and more rolls of plastic that you can shake a stick at.
What is the best covering for these planes?
What are you guys using?
Thanks
Jay

The park flyer films are more than adequate for a 1/2 A plane. I prefer lightweight Polyspan undoped with parkflyer film over it. Really bulletproof, warp resistant, heat resistant and looks like silkspan with a kagillion coats of hand rubbed clear dope for almost no weight gain over the film alone.

Go to the finishing section and look at SLC over Polyspan thread for some examples.
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!
