   It isn't Christmas without some airplane
related presents under the tree.

  I have WAY too many airplanes and
engines so I gift wrap something I already
own but haven't looked at in years and
fondle it Christmas morning.

  I like your idea Kevin. I might make a few
Cox tree decorations next year.

BTW, What or where do those propellers
with knobs on the tips come from?

     Cox started to put the extra plastic on the tips to remove the sharp edges so less likely to cut flesh when the engine is running. I forget what year that trend started, but you see it on almost all of the RTF props, two and three blade versions. The gray competition props were not affected. You might check Cox International site and see if what he's producing has them or not.

Also, that photo wasnt mine, i scooped it from Paul Gibeault.  Very much brings back memories of a brand spanking new Cox Spitfire under the tree i got as a kid.

That's actually my favorite prop for reedies.  Makes a nice yellow arc that shows up in pretty much any light so I don't stick my finger in there.
