Brodak Waco YKS-6
« on: March 14, 2015, 12:24:42 PM »
Friends, here are a couple of pics of my Waco I just finished. It is powered by a TD on bladder, the wings are covered with polyspan and the dope is Brodak. I built one of these years ago and it was such a hoot that I had to build another now that I have time for CL again! I have always liked the classic looks of stick and tissue construction so I rarely paint my planes with more than clear with a little color here and there for detail. The only mod I made to the kit is the added wood to give the look of a cowled radial engine.

That's a good looking plane.

Landing gear's a bit short, though.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Thanks Tim. Yeah I built mine as the special RG version. ;)

How does it fly?   Have you stunted with it?  Any updates?

Hi guys, yeah I'm still here!! I just do a lot more reading than I do talking! Yes this plane flies great!! And yes it stunts great! With the Medialian running on a bladder it flies just like a slower version of one of my combat planes. This is the second one I have built and highly recommend it!
