I have a couple of these. Anything I should look out for? Planning on using either a Babe or Golden Bee. Line length? thanks, Ed.
-
I have one with a fairly strong Babe Bee and external tank. Flies great with 38 foot lines.
-
Hey Larry, are you using a production engine with the tank or an integral tank drilled out? What size tank are you using? Ed.
-
Babe Bee with a 2/3 ounce Brodak tank.
-
What type of lines are you using, Dacron, stranded, solids? Thanks, Ed.

That is an excellent model to be a a trainer with a Babe Bee, or full competition stunt model with a Norvel or APC WASP .061. Just select the correct line length for the available power!
Sadly, it is not an exact replica of the original model, but is an excellent design on it's own. I have had several of them, including adding flaps to make it a Baby Super Clown. In that configuration, it is actually closer to accurate scale then.

I generally use .012 stranded steel. I would use .008s but my eyes and fingers have difficulty in finishing the eyelets.

What glow plug ya got in there Larry?
-
Looks like the insert adapter head and insert like Cox International or Merlin sells

Yes, it is a highly recommended Merlin plug with about five head gaskets.
